Mochi is a traditional Japanese dessert – It is a round, bullet-shaped dessert made out of a glutinous rice paste in top layer and ice cream in the center.

Mochi as brought to the Western world by a Japanese immigrant in Hawaii – making the product more accessible to those outside of Japan.
