Pasta Pesto alle Melanzane

Aubergine pesto is a sauce whose main ingredients are aubergine, almonds, parmesan cheese, basil and extra virgin olive oil mixed together.
We boosted it a bit with roasted cashew nuts, toasted pine nuts , fresh basil leaves and some extra virgin olive oil from Davinzi.

About Pesto. Did you know?

Traditional pesto sauce, with its combination of olive oil, pine nuts, fresh basil, garlic and Parmesan cheese, is a healthy addition to any diet. While it is rather high in calories and fat, pesto offers a wealth of nutrients and a punch of flavour that many other sauces lack.

Spaghettata ai peperoni crushi

Pasta with cruschi peppers

Rigatoni ai peperoni crushi
Spaghettata ai peperoni crushi

But what are peperoni crushi?
They are sweet red peppers, dried and then fried, so that they become crunchy, or ‘cruschi’.
Cruschi peppers are a typical dish from Lucano
Pasta with cruschi peppers and breadcrumbs is one of the simplest ways to use this ingredient.
For xl pepperoni crushi we grounded some with a mortar to add more crunchiness to our pasta but you can also eat them on their own for your aperitifs.

Salsiccia Lucanica

Lucanica rustic porc sausage

Salsiccia Lucania Porc Sausage

According to the old lucanian tradition, the fresh meat is only cut and chopped with a knife during the production of the sausage and thus retains its pithy structure.
The classic sausage lucanica is made with locally bred pork meat, minced or ground, flavored with salt, wild fennel seeds, and pepper or peperoncino.

Tiramisu & Skvader Liqueur, what else?

Coffee & Cocoa Liqueur handcrafted in Switzerland

Ending this meal with a Tiramisu and a tasteful liqueur from Skvader.
At first sight this bottle won’t go unnoticed on your table. The bottle itself is super pretty and has an enigmatic flying rabbit which makes the design even more interesting & the discussion too 😉

Now, the taste is intense as you can expect with coffee liqueur but this one is special. Handcrafted in Switzerland, Skvader brings this liqueur to the next level with cocoa from Brazil refined with cold brew and Ethiopian coffee.
We all agree that this is an exceptional liqueur with a unique tasting experience.

Furthermore, we used a red Kuhn Rikon Hotpan to cook our pene pasta. The Hotpan is a very versatile pan and we’ve already used it for cooking a mushroom Risotto from Sanopilz.
Cheeses were displayed on a beautiful wooden board from Massivholz Design.
