We tasted some Raclette cheeses from Appenzeller Garten
with some Raclette spices and of course a chill white wine!
The Raclette Party
On the table, we tasted the following Swiss Food products
– a Raclette Cheese, some Appenzeller Mostbröckli (Swiss cured beef speciality),
Alpstein Speck(smoked bacon from the Alps) from Appenzeller garten
– some special Raclette spices from le Roi du Goût
– a Chardonnay wine from Liesch Weine
First, let’s get our Raclette essentials! While baking some potatoes, start cutting your cheese in nice even thick slices.
On a plate, let’s serve a nice selection of cold meat, Mostbröckli in thin slices with some Alpstein Speck Bacon.
Get some a nice authentic wooden board to arrange the Raclette slices;-)
On the side, get some Raclette spices ready & some yummy gherkins!

The Raclette Cheese
Did you know?
This recipe was invented by Swiss shepherds in the canton of Valais back in the 12th century. Initially, the name was not “raclette” but “roasted cheese(fromage rôti)”. It wasn’t until the 19th century that the word “raclette” appeared.
The Raclette is part of the Culinary Heritage of Switzerland
The secret ingredient is always cheese.
