Sel des Alpes, a Gourmet Tasting
Swiss Salt from the Vaudois Alps Tasted
Sel des Alpes offer a wide range of salts from classic to more herbal, aromatic salts.
From Sel des Alpes‘s range we tasted La Fleur des Alpes similar to Fleur de sel, produced in the Salt Mines of Bex located at the foot of the Vaudois Alps.
The salt deposits at Bex, were discovered in the 15th century and are still mined today in an artisanal way.
The salt mines are accessible to visitors as well as the Museum.
Gourmet Salt, smoked in beechwood
For our tasting, we paired the “Fleur des Alpes” Gourmet Salt smoked in beechwood, with lentils and smoked Wienerli sausages.
