We tested the plant-based parmesan, the Nussmesan from Chopf Nuss
Same texture, consistency as a regular rasped cheese..
Looks like parmesan but it is not, its plant-based!
A recipe with cheese alternative
Spaghetti & no sauce 😉
Pasta, Zucchini, Nussmesan
How we use the Plant-based Vegan Cashew Cheese in our dish?
Let’s keep it simple..a light meal: pasta & vegies.
We first started cooking the red onions, garlic & almonds until caramelized. On the side, while the pasta were cooking, we took 2-3 zucchinis, very thin sliced with 2-3 drops of lemon that we steamed covered for 2-3 minutes until tender.
We finished with some drops of St.Galler Haselnussöl.
Then last, we sprinked with the Nussmesan Classic. (But you could use the Lemon or Paprika flavors!)
Voilà, all under 30min, Simple & Delicious!

How did we find the Nussmesan?
” The Nussmesan is a great alternative to Parmesan whether you are a vegan or not. Really great on Pasta.”

“You can actually hardly notice the difference in texture but crunchier in mouth, no extra additive, no thickener. “

About Cashews
The Cashew nuts as all other nuts are high in fat(50%), a good source of minerals, zinc & magnesium and also rich in vitamin E.
The best part of being a vegan is the purity & peace of mind one experiences and the strong connection I feel to the animal kingdom.
