About piccol’Orto
When piccol’Orto opened its doors in July 2019, it became our dream to offer the best organic Microgreens in southern Switzerland. It has become our mission to promote health in the community and to bring a sense of discovery and adventure into the modern diet.
At piccol’Orto, we approach agriculture in an innovative way – by growing UP! Our microgreens are grown with modern, vertical farming techniques, climate control, and sustainable growing practices. We aim to deliver an incredible product that is local, healthy and fresh.
About Microgreens
Microgreens are like baby plants; amazing little veggies harvested for maximum flavor, tenderness, and nutrition. Most microgreens are between 5-7cm tall when they’re harvested.
While they may be small, microgreens are packed with a high concentration of nutrients and some varieties also offer an intense flavor.
We grow microgreens year round, and only take a few days to grow them from seed to ready to eat. In other words, we can grow them quicker and get them to your plate faster!
